- DIONIC 160 and DIONIC HCX batteries are designated as Class 9 (Miscellaneous) Dangerous Goods by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) due to their Nominal Watt Hour Rating and by U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) due to the equivalent lithium content (ELC) of the batteries.
- These batteries must be packaged as Class 9 Dangerous Goods in UN certified packaging.
- These batteries can only be shipped by a shipper who has been trained and certified to the requirements set forth by IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Section 1.5.
- Please check with your shipper for regulations if you have any questions.
NOTE 2:
- DIONIC HC, DIONIC 90 and ElipZ 10K batteries do not have to be shipped by a certified shipper, as described in NOTE 1 above, providing the following conditions are met:
- No more than eight (8) batteries per carton.
- Each carton must be labeled with proper caution labels.
