Sennheiser Professional Microphones
K6 Modular System

The K6 Modular System is a versatile professional condenser microphone system made by Sennheiser, one of the most trusted names in professional sound recording. Sennheiser has a variety of ME Series microphone modules for different powering arrangement, polar patterns, and capsule sizes.

The K6 and K6P accommodates a balanced, low impedance 3-pin XLR output connector. One AA battery supplies power for about 150 hours. The K6 System’s extreme flexibility, high quality and compact, lightweight modular construction make it invaluable for many applications.

The K6 Battery/Phantom Powering Module US $ 235

Universal powering module, powered by either a single 1.5 volt "AA" battery, or phantom power. This is the heart of the K6 System, supplying power to any capsule in the K6 series: ME62, ME64, ME65, ME66, and ME67.
  • The K6 operates for 150 hours on a single internal AA size 1.5 volt battery, or alternatively may be used with 12 to 48 volt phantom power (the battery doesn’t drain while the K6 powering module is being phantom powered).
  • On-off switch with LED battery status indicator.
  • Bass roll-off switch that will compensate for proximity effect in close miking or for wind rumble in field recording.
  • Matte black, anodized scratch-resistant finish.

The K6P Phantom Powering Module US $ 245

The K6P is the same as the K6, except it's phantom power only, no battery power, and no on/off switch. It is 42mm shorter and 15 grams lighter than the K6, while offering the same integrated bass roll-off switch.
  • The K6P is ideal for fixed installations and applications on camera or stage where size is a factor and phantom power availability is not a concern.
  • Powered by 12 to 48 volt phantom power only, where battery power is not required, like for permanent installations.
  • Bass roll-off switch that will compensate for proximity effect in close miking or for wind rumble in field recording.
  • Can be combined with various microphone modules to produce microphones with a variety of pick-up patterns.
  • Matte black, anodized, scratch-resistant finish.
