Ten Times or Better

The industry target for minimum object distance is 10x the focal length. When practical, all Cooke S4 lenses have a minimum object distance of no more than 10x the focal length. Some are even better, because you can focus closer. The Cooke 150mm and 180mm telephoto lenses focus to just over 7x the focal length at 3 feet 6 inches and 4 feet 3 inches, respectively. The 135mm and 300mm focus to just 6x the focal length at 2 feet 9 inches and 6 feet, respectively.

Thermal Compensation

The 150mm, 180mm and 300mm lenses offer a new system of thermal compensation, which means you don't have to live with compromise. You can trust the marks on these lenses and on the S4/i read-out, in the studio and on location, regardless of temperature shift.
